Survivor of China’s Forced Abortion Policy Shares Testimony

On June 12, 2024, The Barefoot Lawyer Reports on China released a video of a man who survived a forced abortion under China’s brutal population control policies. Gao Zhisheng’s Wife Demands Answers from Xi Jinping

On August 14, 2023, The Barefoot Lawyer Reports on China released a newly translated message from Geng He, wife of missing human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng. In the video, she calls on Chinese President Xi Jinping to investigate her husband’s disappearance. Chen Guangcheng Joins Protest at Chinese Embassy

On March 25, 2023, Center Fellow Chen Guangcheng joined a protest against the Chinese Communist Party outside the Chinese Embassy in Washington, DC. He was joined by China Aid President Bob Fu and three women whose husbands are imprisoned by the CCP. The demonstration was organized by Catholic University’s Young Americans for Freedom and highlighted ongoing human rights abuses in China.

Human Rights Leaders Appeal to UN Over Detained Chinese Activists

On May 27, 2022, Distinguished Senior Fellow Chen Guangcheng joined several prominent human rights activists in signing a letter to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). The letter raised urgent concerns about the detainment of Chinese activists Gao Zhisheng and Sun Wenguang, calling for international attention and action to secure their release. This coordinated appeal highlighted ongoing abuses by the Chinese Communist Party and reinforced global solidarity for persecuted dissidents.
